Aqualodge Houseboat Transport

The new owners purchased “Gemini”, a 42′ Aqualodge houseboat, for their first home. As Safe Harbor Haulers specializes in houseboat transport throughout the United States and Canada the decision was easy for the new owners to choose us. There were many challenges in transporting this houseboat as the loaded height topped out at 16′. Being a superload, it requires route surveys, 2 private escorts for the entire trip as well as 2 state police escorts for both Massachusetts and Connecticut.

Route Surveys, Pilot Cars, and Police Escorts

As always, Sean at Coastal Light Pilot Cars provided and or arranged all route surveys, pilot cars and state police escorts. Sean himself surveyed every mile of the trip personally in order to ensure the transport went without a hitch.

Cataumet, Massachusetts

Kingman Yacht Center located on the eastern shore of Buzzards Bay is Cape Cod’s largest full service marina. They were very helpful with the loading of the Aqualodge and the staff seemed very knowledgeable.

Brick, New Jersey

Wehrlen Bros. Marina is a full service marina located on the north shore of the Metedeconk River. Once there, I found plenty of room to maneuver for offloading. The yard was quick and efficient therefore I look forward to visiting them again in the future.
