The Beginning of Luhrs Boats
In the 1830’s, Henry Luhrs immigrated to the United States from Germany and very quickly became involved in the marine trade. As time passed, he owned a business that sold boat & ship equipment and supplies. Luhr’s grandson, also named Henry, continued the family’s work through building and repairing boats on the coast of New Jersey.
